Frédéric Raynal, PhD
Frédéric joined aveni in 2003 as the company’s director of product development and was promoted to chief technical officer and vice president of engineering in 2012. He oversees all product development and integration of aveni’s high-performance deposition technologies.
Earlier in his career, Frédéric did research on the scale-up of electrosynthesis processes at Electricity of France and on the electrochemical activity of platinum nanoparticles for fuel cell applications at CEA Saclay. He also served as a research engineer at Technicatome.
Frédéric’s expertise encompasses electrochemistry and molecular engineering in back end of line copper metallization, 3D-IC metallization, fuel cells, batteries and sensors. He holds a Ph.D. in electrochemistry from the University of Paris XII and a DEA in process engineering from the University of Toulouse III. Frédéric is also the inventor or co-inventor of several patents.
